Year Three

March 12th, 2006 - As I'm sure you are aware, Bronwyn's 3rd birthday is fast approaching. We'll have pictures from her big day and her party up later this week. In the meantime, here's a little something for you to enjoy. Bronwyn is a baby no more - she's grown into a beautiful big girl!

February 24th, 2006 - Bronwyn's shoulder is doing fine. The doctor said we could put her back into organized sports starting next week. She doesn't seem bothered by it either so Daddy is doing well too. We do have some exciting news to report - Bronwyn is potty trained!!! We're not sure what finally did the trick but she seems to get it now and we've been wearing panties (not underwear, panties accoring to B) for a couple of weeks now. We've gone out to a birthday party, shopping and supper without accidents. She's even staying dry during nap and overnight! We're pretty proud of our big girl and are happily exploring washrooms all over Ottawa. Other than that, there's nothing new with our big girl. There are some new pictures posted and should be more soon as her third birthday is fast approaching. Where does the time go?!

February 8th, 2006 - New video added.

February 5th, 2006 - For anyone who hasn't heard yet, Bronwyn had an exciting Monday. She fell out of bed while napping and broke her collarbone. She's doing well though even if Daddy's nerves are shot. She's adapting to boost herself up on to the couch with her good arm. It's certainly not dampening her spirit anyway. There are a few new pictures up just so the grandmothers can relax and she's that she's fine, even if she's a little broken.

January 23, 2006 - Well, Rilla slept through it but Bronwyn voted today. At least she played with the pencil in the ballot box. She's hoping the Communist Party of Canada has a strong showing. In other news, Bronwyn has been swimming a lot lately and enjoying it a lot. The last picture posted today shows what she looks like after a field trip to the Museum of Nature in the morning, no nap in the afternoon, and a good long swim at the wave pool in the evening.

January 13, 2006 - As stated on Rilla's site, we are home and settled back in. Bronwyn has caught up on some much needed sleep and is back to her usual stubborn but generally pleasant self. She had a great time in Cape Breton playing with her cousins. She's finally old enough to put faces with names and is still talking about Aaron, Tyler, Coady, Luc and Christian. She even remembers Brooke who she met at Aunt Corinne's house on the trip back. All in all, she had a great Christmas (apart from being exhausted for basically two whole weeks). There are new pictures up on the website and we'll fill you in on more news as we make it! Hope everyone had a happy holidays and that 2006 is treating you well so far!

November 16th, 2005 - Bronwyn is a big sister! Rilla Josephine arrived on Sunday and Bronwyn is being a great big sister! She's shared all her toys with Rilla, some more roughly than others. When she wakes up, she asks "Where's that baby?" - it's pretty cute. She likes helping out and has brought her step stool over to the change table so she can more closely supervise the changings. She's not impressed with the poop so far but she also hasn't stopped watching so maybe she'll go into the health profession when she gets older. She's finally napping today after a few days of not doing so - we might be getting back to normal (knock wood). I've updated Rilla's site with a couple of pictures of the two of them. So far, it's been hard to get Bronwyn to sit still long enough to both hold Rilla and one of us get the camera. We're hoping to get some family pictures done before Christmas so you might get to see them sitting still together eventually. As you can expect, we will be busy over the next little while so the updates may not be as frequent as you like but we'll try!

November 7th, 2005 - Today is the day Bronwyn is supposed to become a big sister. It hasn't happened yet! She had a great time this weekend as Aunt Shauna was here to visit. We were way too busy shopping and playing to take any pictures though. We've put up some pictures from Halloween and some more from our visit to Gatineau Park but the pictures are big files so be forewarned. Both were very enjoyable occasions. Bronwyn loved playing in the leaves and the weather was just right for it. Halloween was pretty exciting too. Daddy took her trick-or-treating on our road and she was a big hit. She flapped her little dragon wings for all the little old ladies and she asked very politely for candy. She had even more fun giving out treats at home. We have some video of her talking up a storm and giving out candy. We'll try to put it up but no guarantees as we're hoping to be busy in the next few days. We've put up a temporary website for Froto - you can find it here. We'll update it once the kid arrives :)

September 15th, 2005 - I would like to thank everyone for not getting on my case about updating the website. I'm glad everyone has accepted that I'll get to it when I can! :) Bronwyn is two and a half today which is amazing! Where does the time go? She is one smart little cookie. I've updated the pictures page with some from vacation. Once we're settled in the new house, I'll try to put up some more. Yes, we are moving! Bigger belly = bigger house! I'll be sending out an email with our new address and phone number. If you don't hear from me by the end of next week, I don't have your email address :)

June 29th, 2005 - This is a long overdue update. Life has been pretty busy for the Serrouls. For anyone who hasn't yet heard, Bronwyn is going to be a big sister! We are due with our second child on November 7th. We've had a few ultrasounds already and baby is looking good. I will be starting a website for baby "Froto" in the near future. I haven't been able to update this site or start the new one as I've been pretty busy, when I wasn't asleep by 8pm, with the Cupid's Haven website. Bronwyn's Aunt Shauna and Uncle Darrin are opening up a bed & breakfast in Newfoundland. It's almost finished so if you're going to be in Newfoundland, give them your business!! Bronwyn will thank you for it!

Bronwyn is growing like a weed. Almost everyone who meets her comments on how well she talks. She's definitely got a stubborn streak in her so we're learning how to manage tantrums, although I don't think their at the same level I could throw when I was her age. With the hot weather here in Ottawa, we've been swimming quite a lot lately. Bronwyn is a little fish - she should be ready for "The Gut" when we come home for vacation in August.

There's probably a lot more I could update here but since this is on government time, I'll save your tax dollars and get back to work. I do hope to be putting in a little more work on the site this weekend so there may be some new pictures and, if I get really ambitious, new videos.

March 20th, 2005 - Ok, so it's been a while since you had an update. There's not too much new here. Bronwyn had a very happy second birthday. We took her to the children's museum for the morning. She had a blast running around playing with everything that was there. After her nap, she opened up her presents and then we had pizza and cake and then a very tired Bronwyn hit the sack. It's hard to believe she's already two but as you'll see from the new pictures, she really is getting to be a big girl. I'm sure some of you are dieing for new videos. I will do my best to post some soon. The good news is that work should slow down in the near future and I'll hopefully have more time to devote to our cyberpresence. Bronwyn would like to say thanks to everyone who sent her cards for her birthday - they'll go in her scrapbook. She'd also like to announce that she has two new friends to play with. Kyle Sidney Schuessler arrived on the 14th and Claire Elizabeth Howley arrived on the 19th. Moms and babies are all fine.
