So busy…

Published by Carol under The Family

So, I’m not able to post as much as I’d like but it’s still better than it was.? I’m continuing to work on the pictures but it hasn’t been going so well.? None of the plugins for WordPress seem to want to work with our hosting company.? Anyway, we’ll work on it…

All is well here in sunny Ottawa.? After the 4.5 meters of snow we got this winter, it’s been above 20 for the past week.? We have our backyard back and that makes all of us very happy.? The girls love being outside and we like them to not be stuck in the house so all is well.? Bronwyn’s doing better at school and we haven’t had any issues at the new sitter’s.? I think she just needed to be around bigger kids.? Rilla is still at Sara’s and we’re happy with that too.? She fits in there quite well and it’s good for the girls to have some separate time too.? Rilla has been having some success in the potty training area but we’re not getting ahead of ourselves.? It would be awesome to be completely diaper free though…? Work is good but busy for John and I.? We always look forward to the weekends where we not always rushing the girls through something.

Anyway, duty calls for there are pictures to be edited and websites to be updated.? Check back soon as I am desperately trying to get the pictures working.? We took some great ones this weekend of the girls enjoying the summer-like weather so I’m dieing to share :)

God answers our prayers

Published by Carol under The Family

So after a very busy Easter weekend, John and I decided that we were going to take it very easy this past weekend.? March was a bit of a crazy month and we wanted to use the last weekend of it to get some rest and wind down before launching into Spring.? At around 5 on Saturday morning, I woke up and looked at the alarm clock.? I was so exhausted and as it is not unheard of for our girls to be bouncing out of bed by 6, I was not looking forward to the day.? I decided I needed divine intervention.? I don’t usually ask God for anything other than strength but I needed more sleep!? I prayed quietly in my head that if she saw fit, it would be a wonderful thing if the girls could sleep in until 7.? I would not hold it against God if she didn’t make it happen but I hoped she would see it as in everyone’s best interest.? I closed my eyes again and lo and behold, it was 7:30 in a flash.? Maybe not all you reading this will consider sleeping until 7:30 sleeping in but trust me, IT IS!!? So of course, by way of thanking God, we spent the morning finding a goat for a ritual sacrifice.? Not really, but damn it felt so good we would have!
